Kurzick or Luxon? - Page 2 - Guild Wars Forums

Kurzick. Forget the emo/goth remarks some people make. It's just because they cannot think of a better reason.

I find forests more interesting than what is possibly a giant frozen pistachio-flavored icepop. Plus Kurzicks have some German ties to culture and naming!

The whole pirate idea is cool, but not with the Luxons. They don't look like pirates, they look like...well...THINGS!

I also agree Kurzicks have more quests and are a lot more cultured. Luxons basically are like...

Bob: Me smash yeti head off.
Joe: Me smash yeti arm off.
Tom: Me smash yeti head AND arm off!
Suxons: OOOOOOH!!! *start cheering for Tom like a bunch of crazy gorillas*

Kurzicks also seem to have more people, which is helpful if you are anti-henching or are guildless/have a small guild.

Just go look around a bit and join the group you like. For me this is Kurzick. I also like the beautiful Gothic area and outposts, but the nature in the Northern Luxon area's is nice as well.

I also did all the Luxon missions and mapped all the area later on.

wow i didnt want to look at this cuz i knew it b like this suxon this kurzdick that dont rly matter what side u go on but ive played both if u want faction go kurzick cuz we have FFF as for luxon idk they have turtles but also must of the best guilds for gvg are luxon "iQ MH ect" i know im going to get flamed at for say this but id go kurz cuz they have better armor as for AB both side is are 100% noobs

Go with Luxon's, personally they are alot nicer i first went with the Luxons then tried the Kurz side and everyone was so mean to me the entire time. I got no help or nothing the entire time I was on the Kurz side. The Luxons helped me through everything.

The choice is yours but i've had better luck/drops/ and hospitaltiy on the Luxon side.

Luxon side is much easier.
Kurzicks have closed in areas with Dredge popups that absolutely own henchies.

Luxon is much more open and easy to manage aggro

I see knowone mention this but you don't even need to pick a side. It doesn't matter what side your guild is and you don't need guest invites to complete either side. When you talk to Jamei in Maatu Keep choose anyside, finish the quest, come back and talk to her and finish the other quest and now you got access to bothsides.

Ally with either side only affects which side you play for AB. I finish the kurzick side when factions came out first to get 15k kurzick armor but my guild was allied with luxons.

You only need 10,000 factions points for each side. 1-3 hours at Ft. Aspenwood will accomplish this....

I went with the Luxon side first, and i think alot of people go to Luxon because they think the name sounds better, thats why i chose Luxon. I later switched to Kurzick. They have the better elite farming area -Urgoz-

Plus there have been sightings of Drizzt Do'Urden roaming with a pack of Ewoks and Drow Elves in the Echovald Forrest. I havent seen him yet, but i have a guildy that aperantly had an encounter. Both sides are fun, but if you really want to be cool, go with Drizzt, it sure beats being a Turtle-Hugger.

Why would you get flammed? A lot people have the same opinion, and it is a valued one..

oh man, that really sucks. How come you never got any help? Where you wearing Luxon armor or something? Normally they would distinguish the Luxons from the Kurzicks. Maybe they just didn't want to play?

I know i don't have to choose, but i can't play GW right now, and I like to find opinions. This is also good refrence for other people with the same dilema

Completely opposite experience for me. I started Kurz then we went to Luxons they were a bunch of idiots and a'holes so we went back to Kurz.

As far as what side to go first. Its up to you if you want more of a challenge first go Kurz if you dont go Lux. I say this cause Lux mission Gyala has a back way that makes masters almost 100%(unless team is full of noobs which does happen) See thats how bad luxons are they need a back way to get masters on a mission

start as a kurzick, easier to get the essential 10k factions as the quests alone give more than enough.
later switch to luxon, do some AB, jade arena or whatever to get the remaining factions after you finished all the quests in cavalon and move on from there...
than pick whichever you liked more
